Message: <blockquote data-quote="Raystorm" data-source="post: 1021630" data-attributes="member: 411063"><p>If by transmitter, you mean amplifier, we only tend to bin them off if they fail and it's not worth repairing it.  Even then I'll keep it as a spares hulk for stripping parts out of.  They don't care if the signal is digital or analogue, as a digital carrier is just a fast switching analogue wave.  As for old modems, encoders, etc, there may be someone who wants to buy them, else we'll just send them off for WEEE recycling.  Mind you, at the Stanley Teleport in Hong Kong, I saw rack after rack of old obsolete equipment just gathering dust!</p></blockquote><p></p>
