DIY Multiroom?

Hi all,

I had a Standard Sky box installed yesterday and I want it in the bedroom as well without paying the extra £10 a month.

I've been looking around and I have sourced a quad LNB, standard Sky box and cabling.

Now, as a programmer I have many bits of hardware to aid my daily requirements, one of which is a smartcard reader/writer.

Does anyone know what the implications are of c l oning my Sky smartcard to use on another box upstairs?

Or infact, does anyone know if it can be done?

It can't be done, to copy something you need to able to read it and you cannot read these cards.

Cloning original cards went out years ago. It was one of the first weaknesses the pay services tightened up on as the encryptions were improved.
