John Terry's mistake was in trying to use his vast sums of money to restrict the press in reporting his mis-demeanours and he has failed miserably and not only lost all that money he paid to lawyers etc but his credibility and made himself look like a right plonker into the bargain. The woman is obviously more concerned with her nether regions than her reputation having slept with 5 of the Chelsea team but in reality has lost nothing as regards either reputation or money. I have to agree with Salty players beware..... but this is where the moral standards of the country are put to the test and whilst standards have dropped in recent years hopefully this stance by Fabio will make people sit up and think before they dive ( if you get my meaning)

And another aspect to this decisive action is that Il Duce did not give in to popular clamour (Well, to be honest, Media clamour) for Wayne to be given the Armband: He just stood by his existing regime of Deputies and stuck to his guns. Personally, I can't bear Ferdinand either, but that's not the point - he hasn't done anything recently to cast doubt on his professionalism and whether or not it is right he should have ever become next in line after the dubious drugs test business is now lost in the mists of time.

Also, I think everybody wins in this situation (other than maybe Terry but one had the impression he was getting a little bit too big in his own mind). However, Terry is still going to stick his head in where it hurts, and all the other players are going to be really really careful from now on what they do. Nobody wants to lose the chance to be on that plane to SA. Capello is great because he keeps it clear and simple.
