i was browsing the kingofsat and found that there are some american channels (NBC ABC) on Intelsat 907 @ 27.5W. the trouble is there are DVB-S2 MPEG-4.
my question is can we watch them in Uk if so do we need any special receiver. the frequency is Intelsat 907 (27.5W) - 11554.00 V - DVB-S2 - 40000 8/9 - Txp: 64 - Beam: West

Yes but they are in HD. If you can get a signal and can get hold of an american HD receiver, you might be in luck, but bear in mind they are HD tests. They could go off anytime.

Yes, they are on king of sat(at least this morning!). I wonder if the Humax HDCI-2000 can catch these channels?

The Humax is limited to 30Ms/s for DVB-S2.
DVB-S : 2-45 Ms/s
DVB-S2 : 10-30 Ms/s (QPSK), 10-31 Ms/s (8PSK)

Same for the Pace unit:
950MHz-2150MHz QPSK/8PSK tuner and DVB-S/DVB-S2 demodulator
giving 2Mb/s to 30Mb/s performance

And the new Technotrend DVB-S2 card is also limited to 30Ms/s.

I don't think any of the American boxes use DVB-S2.

You might think a commerical Tandberg unit would work, but they also are limited by SR.
TT1280 and TT1282 High Definition Receivers
Symbol Rate: 10-35 Msym/s (QPSK)
10-30 Msym/s (8PSK)

Only the Scopus IRD2900 seems to fit the bill
Symbol Rate Range: 64Ksym/s - 45Msym/s
