Earthquake detection and predictions

There is now a BIG worry (to some that watch this stuff) as to the big crack (called the Hilina slump) in the side of the cliff on that side of the Island, if it goes the there would be one BIG Tsunami heading to North and South America. (not published due to fear of a mass evacuation)

There is scientific evidence that this has happened before (look on Google Earth for that side of the Island) areas of Los Angles and other low lying areas to the North and South have see BIG Tsunami action due to big parts of the Hawaiian Island's breaking off and sliding into the Ocean.

Yes on Google Earth.

This is what I'm talking about, the area in the North East called the Tuscaloosa Seamount (in center of photo) has remains of these big break offs, (or sluffing) these happened many thousands of years ago but the evidence is still there.
