I've recently been given, and have now repaired, an Echostar D2500IP receiver which had suffered a complete switch-mode power-supply failure.

Now that I have the receiver working again, I'd like to be sure that it has the most recent version of firmware. The on-screen menu gives the firmware version as ESCIP102.
Can anyone tell me if there is a more recent version available?

The Echostar web-site has a version of software D-2500IP-308 which I unzipped but, when I've tried to download the *.bin file to the receiver using Echoload.exe I got the message 'Error - header is wrong'.
Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong here? Any guidance from someone in the know will be very much appreciated.

You usually get that message if you haven't loaded a bootstrap file to the receiver - although looking in the download section of Echostar's site for that receiver, there doesn't appear to be one...
