Ethernet Ports on Digital Satellite Receiver

Good day! I'm now working on a Digital Satellite Receiver, and I wonder how are the ethernet ports are being used. Anyway, I'm using Motorola DSR 4460 in particular. As I browse over the net, I've read that one of the features of DSR 4460 is for SNMP and Web Browser monitoring and control. I wonder how can I be able to do these functions on my DSR 4460. Also, I wonder if I'm going to connect this to my pc, will I be able to watch the channel programs that are received in this unit. Thanks in advance!

your STB is a commercial receiver therefore it is unlikely to have been used by any members on this hobbyists forum limiting who can help you, however I have been proved wrong before. Here is an operators manual for the 4410 unit, there may be many similarities with your model
