All Euro1080 channels in MPEG4 from 1st January 2008 onwards
From 1st January 2008 onwards, the switch from MPEG2 to the newer compression technology MPEG4 will be completed. HD1 and EXQI will then be available only in MPEG4 on the usual satellite positions Astra 1E@23.5°E and Eutelsat W3A@7°E. Viewers, who are still using an old MPEG2 decoder, can trade it in for a new MPEG4 set top box (MPEG4 decoder + CAM-module for 220€). Look out for old 1080 mpeg 2 decoders appearing on ebay in early january!
