Not new, but now sharing same TP as Europe Armenia/ ArmNews, tagged as Armenia Region and changed transmission method to DVB-S2.

Anybody got any notion why I can receive Armenian Region, Armenian News, both with Picture and Audio but no Picture for Armenian TV....Audio Yes. On Satellite 36E...This with a Dreambox 800HD....Funny thing is I can get all three Channels with a Clarke-Tech 5000 HD, Picture and all. These three Channels share the same Frequency, S/R & Fec.

Armenia TV has been replaced by Europe Armenia on this transponder. On my Dreambox 8000, Armenia TV still shows the old symbol rate (2170), hence no picture. Best to delete it, then do a rescan to obtain Europe Armenia.

I know Llew, I have the knew Symbol rate of 2238 but as I said those two channels open up whilst Europe Armenia doesn't, and these three Channels are on the same Transponder 12630 H 2238 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK.

Well I get all three after rescanning - but I had to delete Armenia TV, as rescanning with Armenia TV still in the channel data file means that the channel isn't updated, as it keeps the original one.

I deleted all off them, the old one, and the new ones...and I re-scanned the Freq again....The three channels came in again, but Europe Armenian no joy, only the Audio comes in, no picture, really can't understand it, whilst on my Clarke-Tech receiver the three of them come in beautifully, Picture and Audio. Another guy I know has the same problem, really baffles me...

Apologies. You're right - I only have audio too. I'm pretty sure I had a picture on that channel before on the DM8000 last time I tried, I seem to remember some delay before it appeared.

Thought I'd do a little analysis on this transponder.

I notice Europe Armenia is using HDMV encoding for its video, alone of the three channels. I believe this is normally used for DVD encoding (Sony I think). Obviously the Dreambox's video codecs can't handle this one, unlike some other STB's (your ClarkTech, my Nova HD card to give two examples).

Must have done a change recently. Why I have no idea. Strange one.

Thanks Llew..I see it on your Analyzer....indeed strange...cannot fathom why on one channel and not the three of them...well pity the DB cannot handle that Format...thanks for your keen interest.
