[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Feb-02 AT 00:38 AM (GMT)]Should be an easy way to check, if you set it at 10Ghz and ask the box to find a transponder that you know is at a particular frequency, when it locates it and the channels, it is a 10GHZ, if it doesnt, try another frequency.

No thats not the prob (unless your reply went right over my head
BIG R)If i`m on say for instance Hot bird (but same on all)i start a channel search,it wont pick anything up above 12.000 (strong has a tuneing bar never moves over 12.000 as though Lnb wont go that high
or is disabled in box setup somehow.and dont say consult the manual
(NOBODY but nobody has seen a manual like this)its as thick as the bible and there`s nuffin in it.It looks like it was wrote by a Chef
OR A JOCKEY.Whoever wrote it has never seen a sat box in his/her life.

What software option are you running in the 4375

Manual is probably a hybrid Euro/Korean attempt

Manufacturer is Integra of S Korea (www.integra.co.kr) if I remember correctly

Yes BC, that's why I think that it may be a 10Ghz or even 9.75Ghz LNB, you need a universal to achieve anything over the 12Ghz mark. How is your LNB described in the setup menu?

If it's a universal, it may not be switching to the higher band.

I have just been fargin about with the setup menu and noticed that it has 4 options. uni 1 uni 2 uni 3 and set some garbage (i think 2 set your own freq`s. UNI I SUSPECT BEING UNIVERSAL LNB uni 1 is 10.250=11.259 uni 2 is 10.350=11.350 uni 3 10.450=11.450 now when i set 2 or 3 i get DIPP.when i try my own freq`s still get DIPP.Climbed up the ladder 2 get info from LNB its not eurostar its msi os something like that logo overwrites itself
frequencys 10.750 = 12.750. its a twin (there`s know differance in which side i connect 2 is there.

Right, that would appear to be a standard universal then, I believe the figures you quote are the handling frequencies of a triple band LNB. there must be a toggle somewhere in another menu to set it to 9.750 and 10.600, these are the local oscilator settings of a standard universal.

Youll have to make sure that the 22Khz tone switch is enabled also.

Does it have a specification page in the manual? It should tell you the operating bandwidth of the tuner.

the only specific page in the manual is the contents index.
here Look at the three trouble shooting guides
No picture or sound turn the TV on
The display is not lighting up plug it in
The remote control not sending signal put batterys in.
AND THATS ALL FOLKS.
This manuals was wrote by Morons for morons
it has 10 pages of scart lead setup
6 pages of analogue setup (still not got my head round this)
1 PAGE OF DIDGITAL setup (expect autoset 2 do the job or you)
1/4 of Cam slot with a drawing of a hole and i sentace stateing type 1 or 2 slot compatable.and thats it.

Under Antenna setup there is the abilityto master clear the receiver
If the MTI is a Universal type (and being a twin it almost certainly is - unless its over three years old with a built in feed, looks more like a cylinder than an LN:cool:, master clearing the unit should make the receiver default to Universal type

Where did you buy the unit and why dont the suppliers get technical bod to answer your questions over the phone ?

There are reports that these receivers suffer from the same flash memory failures as the Echostars and Manhattans of the world so a corrupted memory might have been part if not all the cause. Master clearing reloads this chip so TV viewing may not last too long as the problem spreads again

Try not to scan too many times as the rewrite process will cause some trouble and if you can, only manual scan to limit the information into the receiver

What did your mother tell you about accepting 'gifts' from travelling salesmen ? especially double glazing merchants !
