Also, no eurasian beam as well. Nothing coming close to India.

May be its just the initial footprints released by them, and in the coming days, they might add more beams.

The Russkie beam is a bit misleading - the outer contour is the 50dBW contour so it may well stretch quite a bit further out than indicated. There does seem to be a VERY steep drop off southeast towards India though.

The Russian beam is likely to end somewhere mid-Germany, like the current ones...probably where the wall used to be!

I think its a replacement satellite for 36A, which was launched in year 2000.

And has the same beams as that of 36A, ie: the african and the russian beams.

36C is having more powerful russian beam on its outer contour,ie: 50dbW, as instead of 42 dbW in 36A satellite.
Though coverage area has decreased, but signals would be better, in my opinion.

Whilst checking out the footprints as mentioned above. I noticed on the Eutelsat webpage the footprints Eutelsat 8 West B.
This according to Lyngsat is due to launch on 21st August to I assume replace Eutelsat 8 West A. Which is near the end of its life.
The footprints since last discussed have I think changed.
1. There is now a main Ku beam covering Western Europe and UK.
2. The MENA beam seems unchanged but does as pointed out before come up higher than Eutelsat 7 WEST A
3. So I would think that channels on 8 West A will move over to 8 West B and should be available here with luck?
4. Then new services on the Europe beam too should be available as well...

Any thoughts?
