If it covers Europe, Middle East & North Africa then its not a super beam!My prediction is current single beam will be converted into super beam covering Europe, Middle East and part of Africa.
I am still hopeful that there won't be any dedicated beam for Europe only
in recent years many satellite limits their coverage to specific region. like eurobird 9 with ukrain beam italy beam or 9 degree east with greece beam or 5 degree west. so i think new hotirda follow this path. maybe restricted beam has many benefits for tv providers.
Hotbird 7 was December 2002. The main engine on the rocket destroyed itself & the craft was blown up by the range safety people. We also lost the STENTOR satellite on that missioni remember like astra k and old hotbird 7 crash not remember year maybe 2002
Limit their footprint doesn't matter..iptv more than enough..
I will be shocked if there's no MENA coverage, described elsewhere on the Eutelsat site as a "key market" for 13°E, currently received by 27 million homes across the region.please review latest financial report which is more authentic source of information

middle east footprint will be used foe fta and p o r n channels i thinkI will be shocked if there's no MENA coverage, described elsewhere on the Eutelsat site as a "key market" for 13°E, currently received by 27 million homes across the region.
The wide beam will be used for iranian ,Arabic, Armenian ,Greek & Turkish channels...alll nonsense..it's better to get rid of wide beam bcuz all this countries have their own satellites no need for it... i don't think any1 will setup 13e in those countries anymore.middle east footprint will be used foe fta and p o r n channels
