Hi
Is it possible to get the Russian beam in Aarhus DK? according to all footprints it doesnt cover Aarhus but maybe with a large dish (2.40?) it is possible?
Thanks

Well yes looking at the footprint in theory it does look possible in Denmark with a large dish above 2mtr but as with all fringe reception theory does not always translate into practice so hopefully a European member can confirm that:-

I have heard reports here in Latvian forums, that Eutelsat W4 is recievable till Berlin. After that, signal strength drops radically...
But, Eutelsat W7 is a different story. No fringe reports since the start on 15th of January, so can't say anything.

In Oldenburg a 2.7m Laminas dish had been installed by satshop24.de 2 years ago if i remember well. W4 Russia Beam was received but not on a high level. Since Denmark is more to the East and North, a smaller dish will do. To recommend a certain size it would require some reports from the nearby located people. Unfortunately i haven't seen any yet. I guess a high quality 2.40m should do the job using a circular LNB but be aware of possible disturbances from the Sub Saharan Beam of W7 if the signal levels are of similar strength in Aarhus.
