Seems like the race in Imola this weekend will be cancelled due to severe flooding in the local area.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Sounds like they ought to be using F1 speedboats instead of cars!:-rofl2

Asolutely the correct thing to do - the emergency services have more than enough to do atm without trying to deal with an F1 race in the area.

Today's procession is apparently FTA on C8 HD 5°W multistream. The 'race' starts at 2pm BST.

First few laps will likely be more like a bumper-car derby (or Grand National if a few wheels interlock)!

The way Lando was able to look after the mediums in the first stint and then at the restart hold off Lewis who had DRS and new soft tyres was impressive. Seems like they've managed to significantly reduce the drag.

Special mention for Albon beating both Ferraris

Minor corrections, I think, : Under the last safety car, Lando actually got new (I think?) Hard tyres, and Lewis got 3-laps old (from FP or Qualy) Softs. The Mclarens are reputed to switch their tyres on very quickly, and thus mucho congratulations even more deserved for keeping Lewis behind in that situation!

Ditto for Oscar for 4th at Silverstone, and in his rookie season, and for Alex because he's very quick in the Williams whenever it's not damp/wet because that car is very short on generic downforce (so it is said).

Well yes I meant new as in Lewis has just pitted for them, rarely do the drivers who made Q3 ever have new 'sticker' soft tyres for the race. It was easy to see the traction and braking advantage the soft tyres gave at the restart.

As for McLaren switching on tyres quickly, they would do that earlier this season and then drop back through the race. Hungary will be the big test as it has tighter corners (McLaren have been quick in fast corners all season, Silverstone has many) and the weather is usually scorchio.

No Lando started on the soft and somehow made them last for 26 laps

I know I lost the plot by picking Perez but Norris started on mediums:

Ah yes it was the other Brit, Russell who did that, well I forgot to choose teams and positions before 11am but it seems I benefitted from that senior moment.
