My Satellite Setup
3 smallish dishes andaccess to 1 very big one.(7w, 13e,19e, 28.2e, 27.5w)
TM 5402hd,dm500s,vu+solo, pc,laptop,tablet,smartphone. Smartmeter S1 (since someone robbed my satcatcher excel tv mk4)) emitor micro HD. very old promax explorer

My Vu+ solo has just developed a problem whereby the HDMI output is experiencing ´sparklies´on screen and even from time to time simply disappears.
The Scart output is working fine so can only guess it is something to do with the HD output circuitry on the board.
Has anyone else seen this problem and does anyone know if it is repairable. (Out of warranty and living in Canaries so repair probably not cost effective but could do with more info before I get out a soldering iron.) Failing that I guess I can live without the HD as subscription due to end soon.

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

I may be teaching my granny to suck eggs here, but I assume you've tried changing the HDMI cable and switched to a different input on the TV if available?

Have swapped hdmi cables and also hdmi ports on tv. Only thing not done at present is connect another HD source to the TV to check if it is actually the TV that is the problem. Hopefully will get time to do that tonight. Be a shame if it is the VU as have been quite happy with it especially as it locks onto FIVE, ITV, C4HD etc over here in Fuerteventura on a 1.35 mtr dish (with black ultra lnb).
