The FIA has announced that the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) has agreed to cancel next year's hearing into the report on McLaren's 2008 car. The meeting had been scheduled to take place on February 14, 2008. Last week, McLaren admitted that leaked Ferrari data had been more widely disseminated within the team than they had previously thought and publicly apologised. In the statement, the squad also promised to suspend development of systems on their 2008 machine that might have been inspired by the Italian team's confidential information.
