dm500s sky 60cm dish amd x2 6000 4gb ram nvidia 9800gt ubuntu 10.10

hi i was just wondering if you can get same channels that you can with dreambox 500 s with a pc satellite card hooked up to satellite dish im on ubuntu 10.04

Triple Dragon, Dreambox 8000, Echostar AD3000ip, TBS6522,6925,6983 PCie cards.
Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

Yes, if you have a PC DVB-S card that will work with Linux drivers.

Which foreign channels do you mean? There's a lot of satellites up there.
