I checked the software, the fortune decoder uses Mercury II-SABC v8.01 of July 2008. I have also seen on other webs that the older version was freezing because of data channels which it was downloading. Probably that is why the vedio chanels which come like data are not coming out. However when you add PIDs it is tuning them.
My request is that if possible these fortec Mercury SABC Software developers should allow the receiver to search even the channels which look like data. the mannal that comes with this receiver is of the older version such that only advanced users are able to do other things.
For example I know how to delete a channel but not how to delete a transpoder. The old mannual explains but when you try it, it doesnt work. resetting the decoder is the only means probably.
However it is a lovely machine. I watch four sattellite with it and it able to give me all the transponder updates that are taking place especially on C-band Intelsat 906 and 704 is where many changes have taken place. More than 20 channels that we watch on intelsat 7/10 KU are now on C band on the mentioned satellites. Good blind searcher indeed.
