do you get it 24/7 ?

as theres something strange here as i get it for abit then it goes afor a few days and then comes back working fine

do i have a problem somewhere ? i think its just the weather but it was working yesterday when it was snowing which was strange as i understand its a pretty weak channel to pickup

No probs here AFAIK, could be weather related as the timing is a bit long.
Are you getting less signal over the period, or is it a straight 'not there' kind of thing happening ?

For me it has been bad since last summer when the cricket was plastered all over the forum and the beam realigned, since then they sem to have encrypted quite a bit, after all we are in a fringe area for this transponder

biss code is known and has worked for weeks

anyway glad you mentioned that as i thought it was weak because of the symbol rate/frequency

the signal is always over 70% when i get it, i never had the channel till i swapped to smart titanium lnb though

Don't have any probs with signal levels, 86% at the moment, but not yet worked out how to decode

Try changing the frequency by a Meg if the signal is dropping out.

Is it possible to change the lnb settings on my dm 7020 that will enable me to receive this channel. At present I can't see this channel at all and I read somewhere that it may be due to 7 gold being too close to the frequency?? Signal quality is not an issue as I normally get over 90% on 16 east.
Really would like to get this channel before the cricket world cup starts.

Probably not.

Fox Sports on 16E is on 11021H 2894 7/8

It gets clobbered by the powerful analogue transmission of Astro TV on 19E (11024H) And also by the adjacent 7 Gold on 11025H 2894 3/4 on 16E.

You have to have a well aligned dish and a receiver sensitive enough to discriminate between Fox Sports and 7 Gold.

The 7/8 FEC doesnt help either - theres not enough correction in it to put the signal back together if its corrupted by external signals.

You coud try tuning either side of it in 500 K/c steps to see if your tuner gets a lock. If not, then as AS says you may need to do something more drastic like swapping recievers.

I live in the south of UK, and have a Triax Td88 with a technomate 1600.
After long time trying, I have finally managed to get Fox Sport with the following method.

In the satellite setup menu I deleted the 16e satellite completely by pressing the blue button, and then resaved it, apparently this clears all the transponders and helps in some way.

I then moved the dish to 13e, and by using the motorised settings (not usals) moved the dish east to 16e until I got a signal, I fine tuned and saved.

Then I done a PID search with the following details, and by adding a transponder - 11020H 2894ms (the actual fox frequency is 11021 so try all the frequencies within 5ghz of this), Video PID 0308, Audio PID 0256, PCR PID 8190. I searched and finally bingo!

I am getting a signal of 70-76%, it is a reasonably clear day outside so I don't know if that helps, the channel is working fine with BISS key that are available.

So all of you that have had trouble getting this channel with a technomate, give this method a go and let us know how you get on.

yes you can get fox sports in Portugal but not sure of the dish size for 16east, the channel is encrypted in biss but the keys are known
