france24- france's version of the bcc/cnn/russia today/alzajeera int.
It's gonna give 24 hour news in english from december 8th, and is already broadcasting test signals on hotbird(13E), astra(19E),badr(26E) and atlantic bird 3(5W). transponder info here:

hopefully it will remain fta or with an easy encryption like cnn, in the unlikely case of it barricading itself in TPScrypt or any other 'difficult' crypt - though If I understand correctly it's only used by teleparis, it will be the only international news agency to do so and it'l be at a disadvantage. Since it's mostly owned by the french government and it's aim is to 'present frances views to the world' I doubt that will be the case.

It will be run by a partnership between the TF1 Group and France Télévisions (although some of the programmes will be sourced from AFP, Radio France Internationale, TV5, Arte, EuroNews, and La Chaîne parlementaire).
