They work fine with irdeto and viaccess channels, but not with seca/nagra/crypto channels. On these the receiver comes up with 'sys' - (ie cam not recognized) rather than 'crd'(cam recognized but wrong key). This happens even when goodies menu item2 is switched to seca.
