Freeview receiver: where do the scarts go ?

Hi, just bought a freeview box from maplins. airial connected to direct into box from wall socket, scart lead into tv av2, when first switch on from main socket freeview comes on great, then after about 30 secs it goes off and says " Bad or no signal" so my sky kicks in and comes on. If I switch off my sky from the mains, then my freeview comes on. my freeview wont work while sky is on. can anyone help please

Put the Freeview scart into VCR socket on Sky digibox and see if that makes a difference.

Try one of those multi scart switches. Plug the multi switch lead to the TV AV, then the Freeview in one of the choice of switches on the multi switch and the Digibox in another, you will then be able to commute from one to the other by just a press of the multi scart switch.

In the old days there were some that allowed copying from say a receiver to a recorder, but that was in the old days of video recorders or more recently receivers with hard disk drives. There are also electronic switch boxes. In London Tottenham Court Road was the place I could frequent to look for gadgets and gizmos. I would advise a little research on line. As I consider your question, I think Digiboxes (Sky Plus) only record their own content, but someone here will be able to advice you better than I. I don´t have Sky.
