No because it is all in pieces on the floor - it seems from what I am being told is that in fact you can use 3 LNB's on the receiver. I am new to this - I have never set up a satellite and I am not in my home country where this would be easy.
rolfw - it seems that you know about Sky receivers and how to set them up. I would love to be able to contact you with some questions. I have my system set up but I am not finding a satellite. I also do not know if I need a card or not. I am temporarly working in Iraq and bought one of these systems.
I was told to try 200 degress true North and look for the Hotbird satellite. The problem is I do not know if I am getting the dish turned correctly or how to tune it. I know they work here because many have them I just can't seem to figure out how to set one up. As you can imagine it did not come with instructions. The unit also did not have a card in it, I was told that I would not need one here.
Go to www.heavens-above.com and get your coordinates, then download the swedish microhace calculator from www.smw.se, punch in the coordinates and the satellite location, it will give you azimuth, elevation and LNB skew.
Sky 1A is the name on the little pamphlet that came with it. In the states we get a good list of the azmiuths for the satellites and we hear a beeping sound as get online.
It is supposed to but I am not sure - I went to Heavans Above and got my cordinates but I do not know where they are to be entered. I also got the Hotbird 4 wideband footprint - It says 13 degrees E. is that east or elevation?
That is 13 degrees East of 0 degrees longitude. I'm assuming that your lattitude will be around 44 degrees East, so the satellite would be 31 degrees west of due South for you.
You need to put the coordinates into the Swedish Microwave calculator, there is a space for lattitude and longitude and satellite location.
