On which satellite between 55 East and 47.5 West are high SRs?
so i can give it a try
You won't need to, just put in the figures when adding a transponder in the menu and see if the receiver allows it.

Ah if you get it ok then I'll probably buy one, trouble is I have over a dozen sat boxes already eek !
Mine has arrived this morning, so only took 8 days, so can't complain.
Will have to wait until later to have a play with it.

Edit: Looks like it took less than 48 hours to arrive in the UK, then took 6 days for TNT to deliver it

He finds with the blindscan of the SRs of 45000
we can add a transponder with sr 51420 but it does not lock it (these are data)

Sounds about right Dave - once things get into the hands of UK operations the delivery performance goes tits up

It took 6 days to process it through a bonded facility. In fact I’m surprised you guys in the UK are not getting billed extra for customs documentation and handling at point of delivery. I hope HMRC are not knocking on your door next week looking for their money

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Assuming the Rx came via Spain, there is probably no extra duty to be paid - you can check using the UK Tax Calculator on
this website UK Import Tax Calculator — ChamberCustoms | Customs Clearance Agents, Customs Training & Customs Consultants, and that gives £00.00 when "satellite receiver" & Spain is entered into the relevant dialogue boxes.

And thus £00.00 is what I "paid" for one of these from there a few weeks ago (& HMRC haven't knocked on my door so far!)

PS: Would suggest that anyone thinking of importing anything should "Favourite" that site for future reference!

That interesting and good news for UK buyers. Based on that information I’m surprised there’s no UK agents/distributors stocking this receiver as demand seems to be brisk enough. While there may be no duties applicable freight companies have to handle EU goods on a 3rd country basis and do have to prepare documentation on that basis. At least potential buyers know where to go to purchase a receiver at headline price.

Yeah, I think import duty only kicks in when paying over a certain amount, and the gt combo just falls under that amount.

MIS on Hispasat. Yes.

Count the days from ordering to actual delivery and post back here with the results. It will save others asking the same questions when deciding where to order from.

My GT Media V8 is the only MS box I have which gets all the Russian channels on 14w so guess this one has no problems either ?

in C band at 46° East, the GTMedia Combo is able to clearly differentiate frequencies very close to each other with a small SR, and the program is quite visible

Sesms a rather good box. Nice to see have C band, what's the minimum dish size requited for any reasonable reception ?

Minimum size is whatever you can get away with insofar as the wife, neighbours and council.
