Yes, a few years back now when ITV feeds were prevalent on Ka. Hardly anything these days. 1M a bit on the small size, that's if you can find a KA LNB that is reasonably priced!!

A problem with endless blindscan repetition on some satellites.
only a neustart stops the blindscan, nothing is stored.

There used to be a few of the Hughes Ka-A LNB's available from USA based sellers on eBay.
Members used to import them but they are probably in short supply nowadays, presumably due to the old stocks dwindling away with time?

Ah hmm I've still got one of these I bought for next to nothing (new) which is meant to work for ka with a bit of a mod ? Very heavy !

Has anyone got the Ka band LOFs working?? Loaded the new 17 sw tried 17250 which is a hundred out for my Hughes LNB, blind scanned 19E Ka nowt!! Entered it manually..nowt, put in the old 9750 from the menu and it works a treat, but obviously showing the wrong frequency. So first impression for me is something else they've added that doesn't work!

For manual tuning with 17350 LO LNB I think the frequency should be 18458

18558 - 17350 = 1208 (IF)
1208 + 9750 = 10958
1208 + 17250 = 18458

It came up as 18668 on the Combo when it tries to blindscan it in, refuses to download anything, signal drops off when doing the channel scan, like John says I think it could be some Diseqc bug, strange it works OK with 9750 though. Tried 18458 out of interest, but still won't have it...

Haven't got a 18GHz White Hughes on the dishes but i could get one out and connect it to the Combo within the shack , set the LO at 17250 and set it off and see what it does

Thinking outside the box, are you sure there is no excess current being drawn from the switchover that commences the Tx, (or the Tx circuitry itself )?

Don't know, possibly could be the multiswitch? The Icone has no bother though. Maybe they changed the hardware in the combo? mine is an early one..

Found some strange things relating to rx DiSEqC - - when you get time will you create / ADD a new satellite position in 'Antenna Setup' and call it 'Ka Scan' , use LO 17250, select your usual DiSEqC port for the Ka lnb, point dish to to 19East and scan - tell me what you get.

One anomaly that I keep forgetting to mention is the viewing of musical content on the GT Combo. The playout - at least of the receiver I have here - does not provide a stable frequency of the audio tracks, very much noticeable on classical music but is also present when listening to the jingles on a television channel. It sounds much like the 'wow' of a warped vinyl record but is not regular.
I will try a recording later, see if the issue is present on the media.

On 16° East with the LOF of 20250 it works perfectly.
with my other LNB Modified for KA (A) (astra) I have a special LOF
higher than the search slice, so in this case it can't work

The Combo obviously doesn't like the Hughes LNB...
