Yep this did it though I still can't switch on from standby. I have to unplug and plug in again, only a new remote would fix this I guess But if the IR is broken from the box then it's a waste of money

Try the remote with your mobile phone camera, that should check whether emitting IR or not.

The remote. If you can get into the settings with the USB mouse, reset the box. Then as it sets up again after reset you should then be able to re-pair the remote to the receiver with Bluetooth. If not the remote I would say is u/s.

Oh as I said a few posts ago with a mouse I was able to repair the remote for bluetooth no problem without a reset. The only small issue now I can't turn on from standby but I can turn off ok

So the remote works then? Has something screwed up in the power setting menu, worth a look. You could also try a reflash of the software.

Oh no I'm not flashing any software. There were 4 updates from last year I installed a few weeks ago. The remote works now apart from the power button not turning on from stand by which is IR apparently, other functions are all bluetooth. Anyway i've bought another remote see is that works with IR

If you have a one for all remote, that may contain the power code until your new one arrives.

Apart from the audio lag/advance, mine has actually been very good over the two years, though I am not using it for much more than reception / steering a small dish.

I have found a reset within the menu clears most of the evils (5W 12548 V channel stuttering), and this latest update looks to have fixed that as well.

Awaiting an awkward 4:2:2 feed for some proper tests.
