So - ive been doing some experimenting streaming the channels from the combo over my LAN. What i didnt realise until recently was that you can export the channels that the combo pulls in, out to an .m3u file. This brings some nice opportunties. Especially for 4.2.2 feeds. After much headache faff and time, i've managed to get a working solution to output 4.2.2 feeds in a nice clear way. Its a bit faffy, i wont go into my process in too much detail - but in essence it is this: Export the .m3u file. Import it into an Enigma2 box as a channel bouquet - i used E_Channelizer (PAID app) for this. Once done, you can view and control combo's channels i.e selecting them via the bouquet but with the stability of your E2 box (inc BISTO channels) It is basically streaming them locally on your LAN from Combo to E2 box. NOTE: The .m3u contains link such as: #EXTINF:-1 group-title="7.0E Ku-band Eutelsat 7B/7C",NHL Service-1 http://192.168.1.67:7779/4890_604_GTCombolist.ts Yes, you can copy and paste and play in VLC no problem. --- 4.2.2 channels brings along a different problem, neither my Octagon 8008 or my Edision MIO 4K could show 4.2.2 channels. So, i got my thinking cap on - and tried an app on my FIRE TV CUBE (android OS) called DREAM PLAYER TV (it is a PAID app with limitations) You configure this app to point at your Enigma2 box, and it brings in ITS channels and bouquets. This allowed me to view the 4.2.2 channels (inc Bisto ones) on my TV rather than using VLC on a laptop. (We all know VLC can play back 4.2.2) There might be a more subtle solution to this, so please do tell. But i got it working - and the 4.2.2 was fluid, not jerky - but did have to switch on interlacing to get it playing smooth. Hope this might help others! Cheers!
