2007 championship rivals Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton have both been nominated for prestigious Laureus awards, it was announced on Thursday. The annual event, which will be held in February, recognises sporting achievements. World champion Raikkonen is one of six nominees in the 'Sportsman of the Year' category, while McLaren driver Hamilton finds himself in the 'Breakthrough of the Year' category for a second consecutive year. The young British driver failed to win the award in 2007 after losing out to tennis player Amelie Mauresmo.
