HI I AM A NEW USER. MY CURRENT CONTRACT WITH S*Y DIGITAL JUST EXPIRED AND NOW I AM LEFT WITH ONLY 5 FREE CHANNELS IS THERE ANY WAY OF GETTING MORE CHANNELS FOR FREE BY USING A DIFFERENT FREQUENCY OR SOMETHING? THANKS IN ADVANCE

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Without pointing your dish at another satellite there is not much else to be received, even then very little of it will be in English.

Yes, unfortunately there is no cheap or easy way of getting more English language channels to watch, just a shame that Sky don't allow a little more of a discriminative selection of channels.

@ muzzamint1. when you say 5 channels do u mean 5 providers. I thought the free to view channels (with a free BBC card) are:

BBC ONE
BBC TWO
BBC CHOICE
BBC FOUR
BBC NEWS 24
BBC PARLIAMENT
CBBC
CBeebies
BBCi
ITV1
C4
C5
ITN News Channel
S4C (in Wales)
S4C2 (in Wales)

With a FTA box pointing at 28East I can get maybe 40 or so shopping channels and all are in English

Then there are the advice and promotion channels

What are you getting ?
