I've recently entered the world of digital satellite, purchasing a second hand Humax F1-VAC1, a Matrix Revolutions V2.04 CAM and a genuine legal Free X-Tv upgrade card. Pictures descramble OK but break up, or dissapear or freeze every 20 seconds or so. Dish is standard 65 cm offset located in NW Midlands using Astra 19.2E. Have checked alignment and skew and cannot improve on signal.
RX says signal strength 73% quality 100% ( is it lying) at Free X TV channel frequency and settings. Without spending money replacing items, how can I tell if its card, CAM or RX or low signal causing problem. Are there any known problems using a MATRIX CAM with F1-VAC.
