My Satellite Setup
Its a Dish Antenna with Vortec receiver
My Location
Melbourne, Australia
I am a user who doesn't know much about the technical side of the satellite installation. I had a GLOBO receiver, which is dead. So, I connected another receiver (Vortec, made by Samsung) and tried to scan for channels. But, couldn't find anything. I don't know where I am going wrong. First of all, the receiver doesn't give me the option to change the satellite name to "Insat2e3b4a", which is the satellite I was watching. But, I have been told by someone that it doesn't matter and I can just change the frequency and it should pickup the signals. So, I have changed the LNB low to "00000" and LNB High to "11345" and searched on "Vertical" and "Horizontal" polarity with the Trasponder fequency of 4010 (for Asianet in Australia). But, couldn't find signal. I have tried changing the transonder frequency to match some other channels I was watching and still it doesn't find any signals. How can I setup this receiver to watch my channels from Insat2E3B4A ? Please help me.

You need C-band lnb settings.
lnb should be 5150 or something like that.

Thank you. I have already worked it out. I had the LNB settings right at 5150 when I was having problems. I put the frequencies and searched and it didn't work. But, now, I have changed the LNB power option to <On> and it seems to work, except for some channels.
