Help with Card Sharing gbox problems NOOB here

i have a dreambox 7025. I was told that to share my card through the net using gbox i will have to buy a phoeneix smart card reciever and connect that to a server computer connected to my router and keep the computer on 24/7. Is it possible i could use the dreambox 7025 itself to share the cards in it slots

Yes, I believe that you can do it with Newcamd using the card slot.

I was just wondering, how effective is this card s_aring business anyway? I think I've read somewhere that people can even just use old-fashioned modems (yup, no more than 56 Kbps) to make this thing work. Is there really that little data that needs to be passed around every second to decrypt, say, a whole 8 Mbps worth of MPEG2 (1 TV channel) in real time? (What is the limit then?)

i dont have cwshare are there any benefits of it as the guy who helped me over msn did not tell me anything about it.I downloaded it and it looks like it runs on windows and i think its for sharing through a pc server.I happy running it through the dream as i just put it in standby. Im running here gbox 2.1b (the most stable) with the plugins gboxsuite and gbox center. Very stable no dropouts even on nova unless its distance 3. Very happy. Thanks agen

yeah,you can use it to trace who is using your card at a particular time.its also integrated into gbox suite under 'tools' -> gbox trace

no,the cwshare program has nothing to do with the sharing process itself,it just gives you some information about what is happening.so you dont have to have it running at all for the share to work
