help with echostar

Has any body got any tips for my new echostar DSB-2300?
Cant find anything on the net!!

Its not even listed on the Echostar site! When you buy the dragon, make sure you get a pheonix programmer too, or you arent going to get the most out of it.

Uhm... geee 10x Analoguesat but.... wot is a phenic programmer? i'm quite new for all this so please explain to me wot i should do.

i looked on the net for dsb 2300 since i got it and i cant find anything. mind you here in my country they sell a lot and all shops have this model which is said to be newest dsb model( which i dont think it is).

sorry about that - it was supposed to read "phoenix programmer" but I missed the typo. Ive corrected it in the original post to avoid confusing anyone else.....

Moast dragon cams come with a loader card. You use the programmer to flash new software onto the card, then put the card into the dragon cam and transfer the software over.

It sounds difficult, but its actually quite easy.

you have to download the software to the desktop.
connect your reciever to your pc with the rs232 cable (i.e. serial port)
then use the dnupman programm to download to your reciever. it takes about 2 mins for all operation to complete

For your information Analoguesat Echostar 2300 is a very fine decoder and it
does not need any cams to decrypt the channels.You just update it with your PC and you see all the channels which you can see with Dragon cam.
