Help with Humax IRCI 5400 (System ID)

Hello,

I have a Humax 5400Z. My system ID is 00160601. I've tried to upload a new software but I got the Error-Id message. I didnt know what to do then so I changed my systemID (I didn't know that it's wrong) to work with the firmware. After that, I uploaded the firmware but there were no signal at all.

So I changed back my SystemID like it used to be and I found a program that will turn any firmware's SystemID to mine. Then, I uploaded the edited firmware to my receiver and it worked. But after 2 days, the signal was gone again and I dont know what to do. Is my decoder dead?!!

After searching the internet, I've discovered that a humax 5400 with my system ID is Humaz 5400Z +. Is this true?

Device Driver Version: HIC 1.05.00
S/W Last Update: 4 MAR 2002

System ID: 0016.0601

Can someone help me??

Hi , Have you tried using the hidden install menu? This can be found by opening STB status and then pushing the coloured buttons from the top down i.e.red,green etc,and then push numbers 1 - 4 each number will give a differant download . I found this information on this site by using the search facility , brill site for info.
