help with my DiSEqC switch

I have a diseqe switch 2.0 2/1 and I am having trouble getting signal.

My satellite dishes are 28.2 e on a 1.3 dish and 19.2 e on a 85cm dish. When we use the switch whatever satellite goes into lnb 1 will work fine but lnb2 shows good quality but very low signal. We have tried swapping and putting both satellites on a or b in the system menu but we still have the same problem. We are using a technomate 5500 ci super.

Can anyone offer any suggestions.

Are you saying that one port of the switch works, and the other one doesn't?

Simple, get a new switch.

yes. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong or if the switch was faulty. A new switch it is then.

Yes, If it was working before, and you have done all the logical tests, like swap the feeds from the two satellites over, and the same switch position is still not working then it must be the switch.

If however when you swap the satellite feeds over and the other switch position stops working, then the switch is OK, and it must be something else.

Go to DisEqC 1.0 (not 2.0) and set up your LNB1 & LNB2 that will work.
