Recently Hitradio Namibia has appeared on the Bulgarian mux at 11958V on Thor 6 at 1W. According to Wikipedia it seems to be the first commercial FM station in Namibia.

Anyone know why it's broadcasting to Europe? It's not bad audio quality either, unlike a lot of the other stations re-broadcasting to Europe via satellite.

Namibia is a multilingual country, with the German language today a recognized " national language "(a kind of minority language ) and next to Afrikaans , Otjeherero , Oshivambo and English (the latter is present only official language ) one of the working languages of the country is. In some parts of the country enjoys German, mostly alongside Afrikaans, Oshivambo and in any case English, also an official status at the local level.http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Sprache_in_Namibia
(google translation)

Tv and radios of Namimbia (Namibian Broadcasting Corporation) also use for broadcasting 1° West but on C Band (3977 L) among radios there is also and the "NBC German" .

I could understand if it was broadcasting on C-band to southern Africa, but this is on a Europe-only KU-band beam.
