Hello, I had builders at my place and they moved the dish so that I wasn't able to see the Italian channels on Hotbird 13e. I placed the computer at the front of the television and called my skype using my mobile while on the roof and while watching the signal strength changing on the screen, I adjusted the angle of the dish to have signal strength of 98% and quality 65% (see below), however, I still can't see all channels I was seeing before (missing about 50% of them and all HD gone), is there any satellite finder tool I can use to find the perfect dish angle/inclination as it was before?dish.jpg

The thing to go for is the maximum signal quality; the signal strength is not really important (as long as it within certain boundaries).
The method you used is OK, in principle.
Did you try, when lightly pushing the dish down or up, or left or right, if signal quality got better?

LNB skew would be about -7 degrees for you (7 degrees clockwise, when looking into the dish). Did you check that also?

As you are more or less aligned (you wouldn't get the Channels you currently do get if you weren't, you now only need to make very small adjustments up/down and left/right to improve the overall outcome. I doubt the builders caused the skew to be altered.

Might want to check if you’re only getting the horizontals or verticals too. That will help to narrow down the problem. Builders wouldn’t be too gentle with a dish, lnb or cabling

I doubt the builders caused the skew to be altered.

I've seen LNB setups, where the LNB could be rotated quite easily.
In cases like that, a bit of pushing or pulling at the LNB cable, causes the LNB to rotate, and the skew to be off.

So, checking is never wrong.

I checked the transponder and the 10992V gives a good signal but the 11432V with the kids channel shows zero signal. Does it mean I need to tilt the dish and change the vertical angle (rotate it about the horizontal axis)?

11432V requires 3.5dB more signal than 10992V and so requires the dish to be more accurately aligned. If you lightly pull on the dish edges while looking at the signal levels you should be able to tell which way the dish needs to be moved.

11432 is harder to get, because it is dvb-s2, 8psk, and fec 3/4

Check if you can get better signal quality on 10992 (tips are above). Then check if there is reception on 11432, and do the finetuning on that.

BTW, worst case scenario, if the above does not help: the dish was not only moved, but maybe also deformed (warped). The dish face would normally be a flat surface, is that still the case? Test with the so-called "string test".

(@ozumo was a bit faster.... :) :) )

Are both verticals and horizontals working.

Is the f connector to the lnb secured tightly. Is there any chance they leaned on the dish while it was lying on the ground and bent the feed arm.
