How can I update digital receiver software through the PC????!!

I downloaded the new software for digital receiver from the internet on the hard disk of PC. I connected the PC to the receiver by an RS cable through COM1 port and then .... WHAT SHOULD I DO? :confused

You may need a loader programme to upload the s/w onto the receiver. Check the manufactureres website to see if anything is listed.

As you havent got any receivers listed in either your profile or your post no-one can help you further - none of us are mind readers ;).....

:) I would like to update a SRT 4630 receiver. I have downloaded the software from the internet to my pc. How do I go about updating the receiver?
