How do i activate new white sky card from portugal?

Hello hope you can help, a friend in the UK bought me a new white sky card and sent it to me in Portugal, ive put it into box and its telling me to activate the card by telephone, ive been advised not to phone from portugal, can i activate it by any other means?

Ive attached a link but havnt tried this method as yet, will this work?

i know but ive got a new card since then and now im in portugal but i need to phone sky from a uk number without arousing suspicion, can i use skype?
