I have just moved into an apartment in a block of apartments and there is a large metal outlet plate in the lounge which contains two outlets for the Sky+ box from the landlords Sky dish,an outlet for normal Tv and a couple of twin sockets. There is another coax which goes from behind the plate round the skirting into my bedroom over which I can Sky or Freeview. My mate who Im renting the apartment with would like the same in his bedroom but we have been told that we cannot put a splitter/booster on the outlet in my bedroom as the (Voltage?) would damage my Sky box and/or the landords equipment! Is this true? If so how do we get Sky and Freeview into my mates bedroom? Thanks.
