The surrounding trees and that vertical bit of roof are much bigger problems than the odd pigeon, going by how clean that roof is. My friend in the sticks knows someone with a Starlink system, they are very impressed with it.

the tests that I was able to carry out during 3 weeks show that the concept works even in Beta mode and therefore degraded 100 times better than the current Vsat products for me.
We are talking about an antenna at 500 euros (probably much more) which contains the technology of an antenna at 15,000 or 20,000 euros (Kimeta) ... the service was not yet launched in France during my tests and I had pings at 20-32ms, downlink at 150-300Mbps and uplink at 19-40Mbps...
