My Satellite Setup
Amiko Alien HD box

Self assembled pc:

AMD 3.2 GHZ dual core 64 bit
Gigabyte motherboard
4 GB DDR2
RAID 1 MIRROR 500 GB
Slave Drive: 500 GB IDE
Samsung optical drive
Benq HD 24 inch monitor

I currently have a 24 inch monitor, and me and my kid watch it all the time.

I have an old CRT TV (please don't laugh on me), with scart input and S video input only.

Where as my PC video is DVI-D output, so I certainly cant connect digital output to an analogue input TV.

DVD to analogue converter is very expensive, and pointless to buy it.

Can you please tell me if there is a box which can connect to my TV with scart, but show Youtube/ BBC I player on it?

Thanks!

Nowt wrong with crt tv's - we still have a 28" Panny crt in the livingroom which will do for a few more years yet.

The easiest way around this may be to fit another video card into the computer (assuming its a desktop rather than a laptop) with a video output suitable for your tv.

Thanks Analogue, and sorry to agitate you a bit earlier.

I agree with with what you saying, but I am looking to give a TV experience to my kid, so I can do everything on the set top box remote control.
I saw on ebay uk something "Amiko ", which has youtube built it. but that's 160 pounds! A bit too much to watch free youtube. Any other box with youtube built in?

The good news is that, companies like Zee TV, Sony Entertainment are uploading their own videos including full TV programs on youtube.

The VU+ Duo supports YouTube. had it working a few months back and it was a bit buggy but worked. Tried recently but not working at all now
