Humax IRC1 5400 rA error

Help please! I have a Humax 5400, when I switched in on the other day I got L2.08 displayed for a few seconds and then it shows rA on Humax display. There is nothing showing on the monitor. Prior to this the receiver had been working fine. I'm assuming power supply is ok because I'm getting the error code on the display. I've tried resetting power off then on again numerous times but get the same error code. Has anyone come across this error before? What does it mean? What can I do to clear this error and get the Humax running again?

Any suggestions greatfully appreciated.

Sounds like a ram error. As you have the bootloader (L2.08) still operative try re-uploading original firmware (should be on the Humax site).

Could still be a power supply fault though.

Sorry for late reply, I've been away. Reloaded settings file and Humax working fine. Many thanks to all.

I have the same problem too on a Humax 5400Z...i cant put any files(firmware)cause i cant have comunication between receiver and Pc...instantly i have the E-AC error...please can anyone help me??

Try again after downloading the latest version of the application software. If it still fails, the EEPROM flash chip may be defective, in which case the box will have to be sent for repair.
