I have a Humax box. I have a sky dish.

I have plugged some cables in.

The screen says: The receiver is not receiving a signal or the signal is too weak.

There are more holes for more cables. Do I need more cables? Please see pics.

Was the Sky dish previously used with a Sky Q system? If yes then most likely you'll need to change the LNB (the part of the dish the cables connect to) for a mk4 Sky quad LNB. A photo of the dish and LNB will help confirm this.

Yes. I am just about to send the equipment, Sky Q Hub and Sky Q 1TB, back to them.
I will take a photo tomorrow.

SkyQ uses different lnb's (the bit on the dish) to other receivers. The internal electronics work differently how they handle the signals. The exact differences dont matter but what it means is that a none Q receiver wont work with Q lnb's.

Some lnbs have extra "normal" ports on them so you can just swap the cables over onto them. If not you will have to buy a replacement none Q lnb

Will these pictures help to identify if I need a new lnb or if I can swap the cables around? Thanks

That's a Sky wideband LNB, the only Freesat boxes that'll work with it are the 4K models. As you have a Humax you'll need to replace it with a Sky mk4 quad LNB, they can be bought new for under £15 on Amazon.

Ozumo thank you so much. Was worried I'd have to climb a wobbly ladder to fix something that I know nothing about,

Sorry was busy at work
analoguesat explained what I meant
Remember sky Q lnb uses 37mm holder
But normal /mk4 lnb neck is 40 mm so buy new lnb with holder.
holder is a plastic bit holding lnb.
New lnb is available at screwfix as well.

That is not strictly correct, both Raven designs have the same LNB profile though one manufacturer (Labgear) is supplying a feed adapter with a 40mm clamp and their own single, twin or quad LNB.

When I changed lnb on sky q zone 2 few years ago I had to change the holder because 40 mm lnb did not fit.
