The Bengtsson-Korsås family first noticed something was wrong when their cat Enok refused to enter the kitchen in their flat in Solna, north-west Stockholm.

We put up with an occasional fieldmouse as long as they dont make themselves too much at home.....

There was a bigger rat caught in Consett a couple of years ago, killed by a guy with a plank of wood, though people started sending the guy death threats cos they said it wasn't a rat, but a coypu or something, which just happens to be a species of rat that shouldn't be in the wild in the UK anyway and are supposed to be culled...

Coypu are a little bigger than that rat was I think. There's a lot over here, digging into river banks and causing all sorts of damage. They aren't aggressive and will let you come quite close...so it's surprising why they aren't hunted more....maybe they aren't very tasty....
