Hello everybody - just new into the satellite world. Have recently bought a technomate 5500cip motorised system , matrix reloaded cam , titanium card and infinity usb phoenix programmer. All i need now is some advice on using the above correctly to view as many programmes as i can(football hopefully). How often do i have to update my card and cam. AT the moment the MR is 1.08 and the card is 1.06. somebody help me please.

It's maybe an idea to get yourself into Toecutters (toecuttersden.com) and register etc. There you will find a titanium file known as The Mighty Bosom (TM:cool: that's well worth getting aquainted with. You'll probably have to downgrade the operating system on your titanium card to 1.03 to optimise the operation of TMB, though. If you search around here and on Toes, you will find a mountain of info on tit card programming and how to use your Infinity which will need to be in Phoenix mode. Best of luck, but it's quite easy once you get the hang of it.

I'm interested in this as well because I've got exactly the same MR and Titanium.

My understanding is that TMB is an Xin1 type software that is designed for use in a Conax cam. When used with an MR, is there any conflict between the MR Xin1 functionality and the TMB? Presumably the TMB sees the MR as a Conax cam?

Is the TMB much better than just the MR and a Conax file?

Thanks for your thoughts.

guiri, yes I believe what to say is correct but to be absolutely honest, I haven't had a huge amount of time to play with TMB. I did try it on 30W and it cleared Cabo channels which the MR on its own did not. I also flicked through some other channels on 19E, 13E, 5E and 1W but I wasn't able to find anything that wouldn't open that would without the TMB. You can add channels to the TMB if you wish but to do so you must delete some of the existing ones because of limited memory capacity so it is user configurable to that extent. You can also import (copy and paste) keys to update the TMB which negates the need to spend time with the remote control in front of the TV - especially useful when your wife wants to watch Coronation Street! All in all a very nice user friendly package (which was why I thought it perfect for somebody new); you can download it and take a look at the programming page on your PC before you do anything with your tit card just to get a feel for it.

Norm - Thanks for the information. I like the idea of programming the titanium card rather than either a) entering keys into the MR or  programming the MR with an unofficial softcam style upd. Both those are a bit fiddly.

I'm hoping to get motorised on Saturday, so I'll let you know how I get on.
