Has anyone done this ?

The only place i can realy hook my dish up to is the exterior garage wall becuase im in a rented property,

im looking for some advice. firstly what wall mount should i get ? the one i have found i do not think it will be long enough for the dish to oversee the top of the garage in the direction the dish will have to face towards.

can some one recomend a suitable one with a long pole ?

secondly would i need to power tool like an electronic drill to connect it to the wall ?

i dont have access to such tool, so would a hammer do the job ?

You will need a drill, you can hire one for a day from any hire shop, but I'm sure a neighbour will have one. :)

The best bracket is a set of T&K brackets with a short scaffold pole.

Yes, they're the boys, CDTronix one of our supporting advertisers sell them, have a look at the sticky thread on setting up a DiseqC motor for details of how they go.

Just to add, see if you can use Shield Anchor Bolts for fixing the brackets to the wall.

Oh, another point, many garage walls are single skin, so they are not ideal for mounting dishes on.
