He's not the only one, even when the troublesome tree has gone I'll still only get as far as 40E on the 1.8.

My limit is really 62 East ...but since these transponders are now stronger I will of course give it a go ..
might have had a chance in winter ...but a wall and a tree makes life difficult at this extreme..
Don't expect I shall be rushing back with photos

Didn't really expect anything ..
the bottom 3rd of the dish is pointing directly at a wall ..
the top 2 3rds directly at that semi detached house accross the way ..
Anyone got a bulldozer ??

If only it were that simple, there's no site on this entire plot that can see full arc at ground level, in fact there's nothing available that will get me any further than where the 1.8 is already. I could push it round to 60E if I moved it down near the shed where I tested the 1.2 (and used a 5ft ground post) but then it would be in the middle of the patio and SWMBO swore enough when that was in the way, she'd never get the lawnmower round the 1.8. :-rofl2

the one and only transponder of Intelsat 906 at 64 , that I'm receiving with my system .

(there is no other space to store any other satellite's name into my receiver memory data)

hi adonis1 that i understand, its a shame about most receivers they have plenty of channels but when it comes to satellite listings they keep it to a maximum of around 60 sats, exept the vantage receiver, they do not cater for c-band you have to put ku and c-band together on same sat wich makes it a bit awkward.

Totally agree Pride ..its very frustrating indeed ..
There are times when I double up ..just to free up a point on the arc ..
for example 7west and 8 west and 9 East and 10 East in ku..
This at least frees up 2 but since I want to cover 66 East to 58 west in C and Ku ...there simply aren't enough storable sat positions on any receiver I own ..
Now taken to using 2 receivers ..my F15 is C only and the Openbox S9HD for ku ..
This gives me 120 sat positions ...and Double the channel capacity ..
Only problem is that the S9 is nowhere near as sensitive as the F15 ..so this stb also covers 62 East onwards ..in ku as well as C
Not a perfect solution ..but untill I can splash out for a second F15 ...it will have to do.

I've the same grumble with DVB Dream, a maximum of 64 positions so I have two copies of 1.5e, one for C and one for Ku. It also has a limit of about 8000 channels which is nowhere near enough for everything I can get. If I start at 68.5E I only get to about 4W before I have to start dumping data and encrypted radio then TV to free up space which makes keeping track of what has changed quite tricky. I don't think later versions of the programme have increased this either (I refuse to buy it after seeing the author say the payment doesn't include any support (for what is at best flaky software)).

hi VS been busy cutting out 27 sheets of ali as i said before i had the first lot of ali to see if you could improve on reception so i brought sheets of ali 200mmx150mm a bit bigger than the last lot but i also tapered each sheet to fit to each other as best i could, see pics i have not given it a good try because of weather so bad.
