currently have 1.2m dish and 8 year old Manhattan receiver to watch Badr4 and hotbird.
Also have Dreambox for Sky, but don't use it.

I'm new to this forum and a really know very little about satellites etc.
My wife is from Lebanon and she has watched Badr 6 and Hotbird channels via 1.2m dish and Manhattan receiver for last 9 years. We are moving into Manchester, and are considering an apartment where we won't be able to a dish.
I heard that you can get Arabic stations via broadband. I know I can get the likes of MTV Lebanon (not the MTV music channel) on our laptops, but wanted to know if their was a receiver we could use to get whole range of channels without moving between websites, with laptop plugged into TV.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
