It's probably OK for the odd track,  but I think it comes under the heading of "seemed like a good idea at the time".  By the time you've had it playing for 20 minutes per album side and gone off to make a drink and recorded 20 minutes of the click at the centre of the record, you then need to enter the track information.......life's too short!!
